History professor Thomas Fleischman is taking a new approach to
research projects. This past fall semester, he and his class teamed
up to create a new podcast series called Under the Low
Bridge, where they explored and explained the history of the
Erie Canal. Along with learning what for many students was a new
communications medium, their work also included site visits to the
canal and research into its original maps, photos, and
architectural illustrations.
